CoNVeRT a FaITH She is come from a religious Christian family, but her boyfriend was a Moslem. One day when her boyfriend proposed to marry, she told him, that if he agreed she wanted just one faith in their future new family
And he converted his faith to hers, and they married and live in a good Christian way. They have two boys, they always went to church together. Until a couple months ago her 24 yrs old son announced her that he would convert his faith and become a Moslem.
She shocked, she felt that she was betrayed, fail as a mother because she couldn't bring him into a good Christian. She couldn't accept this, and when she found out that her boy's girl friend is a Moslem, so this was the caused of all.
It took a long time to accept, and after she could accept, she began to ask her son, was it come from his heart or just only because his girl friend's faith? After she know that it was really came from his heart, she began to support him, at this past Ramadan, she wake up early, to provide a meal for him.. or remind him to sholat when it time to sholat. (* a ritual pray 5 times a day*)
Now she is feel much better, and having a many faith in a family is a blessing for her, not an obstacle.. isn't we have only one GOD for all? |
Kahlil Gibran's thoughts on children:
"Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts."
